| ICAI: from Brussels to Montréal
Formerly established in Brussels, the Institute
of Cultural Affairs International (ICAI) recently
relocated its office to Montréal. With the
cooperation of Montréal International,
the official inauguration of the ICAI Secretariat was
held in June 25, 2008. Founded in 1977, ICAI is an
international organization comprised of a network of
31 national organizations dedicated to facilitating
the role of culture in human development.

Précédemment installé à Bruxelles, l’Institut des Affaires Culturelles International
(ICAI) a définitivement établi ses quartiers à Montréal. L’inauguration officielle de son
secrétariat s’est tenue le 25 juin 2008 avec la collaboration de Montréal International.
Fondé en 1977, l’ICAI est une organisation internationale regroupant un réseau de
31 organisations nationales oeuvrant à la promotion de la culture comme levier du
développement humain.

| Global civil society to gather in
Montréal in 2009, 2010 and 2011
Montréal will be hosting a series of major
international gatherings, the CIVICUS
World Assembly,
from 2009 to 2011. Institut du Nouveau Monde has
been selected by CIVICUS to organize the next three
editions of the World Alliance for Citizen Participation
event.
